International event in Israel
As part of the WTKF global activity for promoting Traditional Karate-Do worldwide an international event was held February 26-28 in Israel including a seminar conducted by sensei Avi Rokah and a tournament with 6 countries participating – Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Czech republic, Jordan and Israel. The event was attended by many dignitaries, including ambassadors – foreign ministry – sport ministry – mayor, and was brought live on WTKF web site.
This event and the meetings held around it opened new opportunities for WTKF for cooperation among countries and holding events with large public exposure in different countries including Turkmenistan, Czech Republic and Jordan.
In this big event was Mr. Eyal Nir, WTKF VP, announced the initiative for establishing an international BuDo center for peace on the border between the state of Israel and the kingdom of Jordan.
WTKF BuDo for Peace center initiative
The WTKF through its middle east members is promoting the idea for establishing an international BuDo center on the border between Israel and the kingdom of Jordan. The center should serve all people of the region and beyond. Already supportive and contributing to this big vision are key people from Israel, Jordan, Japan and Czech republic.
