The WTKF International Summer Camp and Gasshuku 2016 took place on August 16 to 21, 2016 at the Japanese Martial Arts and Sports Centre Dojo – Stara Wies in Poland. The seminar gathered 320 participants from 15 countries: Armenia, Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA and Uzbekistan..

The trainings were conducted by the very special instructors:

ALBERT CHEAH Sensei (USA)
Founder and chief instructor of Orange County Japan Karate Association, the oldest traditional karate dojo in Orange County, California.

Sensei Cheah has trained in traditional Shotokan karate for over 35 years under the tutelage of Sensei Nishiyama. He is a seven-time AAKF National Champion, and also an instructor, judge, and member of the AAKF Technical Committee.

MAHMOUD TABASSI Sensei (USA)
Vice-president of the World Traditional Karate-Do Federation (WTKF), Vice-Chairman of Senior Council, Member of Senior Advisory Committee of the American Amateur Karate Federation (AAKF)

NELSON CARRION Sensei (Uruguay)
Member of the WTKF Board of Directors (General Secretary), General Director and instructor of the Traditional Karate Do Institute (TKI), founder of a few national traditional karate federations in the world, e.g. in Uruguay, Morocco, France.

WŁODZIMIERZ KWIECIŃSKI Sensei (Poland)

Classes were divided by instructors. We practised kata GOJUSHIO DAI,  basic timing and applications in KUMITE conducted by TABASSI sensei. CARRION sensei focused on breath in karate technics  using HANGETSU kata.  CHEAH sensei explained connection between chinese and japanese technics. We practiced with CHEAH sensei kata TENSHO to develop not so common hand technics. KWIECINSKI sensei taught  timing and applications. We practised drill exercises and kata SANCHIN.

Instructors appreciated medical judge lecture and judge refresher course at the end.
