International Master Seminar with Sensei Avi Rokah

The International Master Seminar in Traditional Karate with Sensei Avi Rokah (8th Dan) took place in Zielona Góra over the weekend of May 22–24, 2026.

Several hundred karate practitioners from Poland and abroad participated in the seminar.

Training sessions were divided into two blocks – one for less advanced participants and another for those at a more advanced level.

Additionally, the senior and youth national teams trained under the guidance of Sensei Avi Rokah.

During the seminar, Sensei Avi Rokah was awarded the rank of 9th Dan.

Official Announcement

During the International Traditional Karate Master Course held on May 22–24, 2026 in Zielona Góra, Poland, the International Technical Committee awarded high-level dan ranks.

The highest distinction – 9th Dan (Master Rank) – was awarded to Avi Rokah in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of traditional karate worldwide and his direct lineage from Master Hidetaka Nishiyama.

Promotions were also awarded:

  • 8th Dan: Krzysztof Neugebauer, Józef Rączka
  • 7th Dan: Mirosław Ellwart, Janusz Sowa, Zbigniew Sitarz, Mirosław Kuciarski

This event marked an important moment for the international traditional karate community.
