VISIT IN KRAKOW

On June 5, 2015 the special delegation of representatives of Japan Karate Association (JKA), World Koshiki Karatedo Federation (WKKF) and World Traditional Karate-Do Federation (WTKF) visited the city of Krakow, which will be the host of a very special and unrepeatable festival of martial arts under the name Traditional Karate-Do Renaissance to be held on October 14 – 16, 2016.

The members of delegation were:

  1. Representatives of World Koshiki Karatedo Federation (WKKF):

Masayuki Kukan Hisataka – WKKF Founder and Chairman,
Masamitsu Kudaka – WKKF Director,
Hisao Tsuruta – WKKF Advisor.

  1. Representatives of World Traditional Karate-Do Federation (WTKF):

Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski – WTKF President and Chairman of Traditional Karate Federation of Poland,
Eyal Nir – WTKF Vice-President,
Nelson Carrion – WTKF General Secretary,
Radoslav Janus – WTKF Director,
Steve Nakada – WTKF Chief Executive Advisors,
Taiga Horii – WTKF Assistant, TOYO University Tokyo.

  1. Karate group from Okinawa headed by Tetsuhiro Hokama Sensei, 10 DAN Gojuryu Karatedo Hanshi, President of the Okinawa Gojuryu Kenshi Kai Karatedo Kobudo Association and Founder of the first Karatedo museum in the World.

5.  Andrzej Maciejewski – Vice-chairman of Traditional Karate Federation of Poland.

Pawel Janusz, world and European traditional karate champion and Chairman of Traditional Karate Academy Niepolomice (one of the biggest traditional karate club in Poland), was the host and organizer of visit of official delegation in Krakow

The delegation visited TAURON Krakow Arena Sport Hall where in 2016 the tournament will take place. It is the biggest in Poland and one of the most modern in the world hall entertainment and sports venue. A multifunctional nature of this place allows to stage on its premises at least some dozen disciplines in the world championships. The advantages of the TAURON Arena Krakow are not only derived from its location, size and multifunctionality but also from the rich technical capabilities. Thanks to them, the application of the most advanced stage and multimedia systems during various events is possible as well as it will satisfy the spectators.

The second visited place was ICE Krakow Congress Centre. On October 14, 2016 the World Budo Conference will be held there. It is the best place in Europe to organize there various types of congresses and conferences. ICE Krakow Congress Centre is a modern world class building, meeting the requirements of international congress organizations, as well as the highest acoustic and stage mechanics standards. The building has been designed in such a way as to host various types of congresses, conferences, concerts, theatrical shows, exhibitions and other prestigious cultural and social events. The high standard of the building place it among the most desired and exclusive congress Centre in Europe.

The last visited place was Collegium Maius. The Jagiellonian University is the oldest university in Poland, the second oldest university in Central Europe and one of the oldest universities in the world. The Collegium Maius in Krakow Old Town, is the Jagiellonian University‘s oldest building, dating back to the 14th century. Mr. Wojciech Nowak, MD PhD, rector of Jagiellonian University, took the honorary patronage over the World Budo Conference which will be held on October 14, 2016 in Krakow.
